Prof. Zeinab SLIM(Lebanon)
Born in 1985, she graduated from the American University
of Beirut with a bachelor of science in Biology and a minor
in nutrition and Dietetics in 2006, as well as a master
of science in Epidemiology in 2008. She is currently a research
assistant at the Department of Epidemiology and Population
Health of the American University of Beirut. For the past
two years, her main research focus has been investigating
musculoskeletal health of general population by implementing
the Community Oriented Program for Control of Rheumatic
Diseases model. Most recently, she received two awards:
the Young Investigator Award in Japan by APLAR 2009 and
the Best Presenter Award in Dubai as part of the second
Arab Rheumatology Conference. She is a member of the International
Epidemiological Association and a member of the executive
committee of the Lebanese Epidemiological Association. Finally,
Miss Slim is willing to continue her journey in pursuing
doctoral studies in Epidemiology next year.
