

Prof. Qing Yu ZENG (China)
Professor Qing Yu ZENG, is currently a Professor of Medicine
and supervisor of Ph.D. students, Director of Department
of Rheumatology, Shantou University Medical College. The
Associate Chief Editor for the Chinese Journal of Internal
Medicine, and the Chinese Journal of Rheumatology.
Prof Zeng graduated from Beijing Union Medical College
in 1968. In 1981 he gained a Master degree in Beijing
Union Medical College under the supervisor of Professor
Zhang Nai Zheng, the founder of Chinese rheumatology.
He joined Shantou University Medical College in 1982 and
grouped the Research Unit of Rheumatology, after that,
he spent one year (1988-1989) in Stanford University as
a Visiting Scholar.
Prof Zeng has over 30 yrs experience in Rheumatology,
covering clinical and laboratory study and also clinical
teaching. His study interests are epidemiology of rheumatic
diseases and early diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis.
He has participated in the ILAR-China epidemiology and
WHO-ILAR-APLAR COPCORD study for more than 20 yrs. Up
to date; he has published more than 200 articles, 5 books
and 15 chapters. And more than 10 of Beijing City, Guangdong
Province and Shantou City Science Advance Awards had been
awarded.
