

Prof. Nazrul ISLAM (Bangladesh)
Dr. Nazrul Islam was born in Bangladesh in the year of
1963. He completed his medical graduation in the year
1986 and achieved both Fellowship and MD degree in internal
medicine in the year 1997. He did his Clinical Rheumatology
Fellowship from Royal Perth Hospital of Western Australia
in the year 1999. Presently working as Associate Professor
of Rheumatology Dept. of Medicine, Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujib Medical University, Dhaka. He is also Scientific
Secretary of Bangladesh Rheumatology Society. His other
important attachments are Life Member, Indian Rheumatology
Association, International fellow member, American College
of Rheumatology, Co-Investigator of COPCORD Study Group,
Bangladesh.
He has publications both in national and in internal journals.
Out of his 20 publications, 13 originals and many of his
publications were published in reputed internal journals
like journal of rheumatology, lupus, Clinical rheumatology,
International journal of rheumatic diseases. His areas
of interest are rheumatology, medical statistics, research
methodology, epidemiology and medical education.
He has presented several papers both in national and
international conferences. For his scientific activities
he has been honored several times with youth travel fellowship
both from APLAR and from EULAR. He has attended many conferences
as invited speaker and chaired scientific sessions.
