

Dr. Marco PANG (Hong
Kong)
Dr. Pang is an Assistant Professor of the Department of
Rehabilitation Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Dr. Pang obtained his BSc in Physical Therapy and PhD
in Neuroscience from the University of Alberta, Edmonton,
Canada. His research primarily focuses on identifying
the mechanisms underlying bone loss and falls in compromised
populations, and devising innovative physiotherapy interventions
for improving bone health and physical functioning in
patients with chronic diseases. He conducted the first
randomized controlled study to show that intensive exercise
training is effective in maintaining hip bone health in
individuals with chronic stroke. His research has produced
a good number of publications in highly rated journals
in the field, including Journal of Bone and Mineral Research,
Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair, Osteoporosis International,
and Bone.
