Dr. Justin Chi Yuen WU (Hong Kong)

Dr. Justin Wu obtained his medical degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with Distinction in Medicine in 1993. He was awarded Croucher Foundation Fellowship for training in gastrointestinal motility in 2000. In the same year, he was conferred Doctor of Medicine for his research in gastroesophageal reflux disease. In 2006, he was appointed Associate Professor and then promoted as Professor of Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, CUHK in 2009.

Dr. Wu is internationally known for his research on gastroesophageal reflux disease with over 100 peer-reviewed publications. He was awarded a number of honors, which include Emerging Leader in Gastroenterology Award by Asia Pacific Association of Gastroenterology and 4 gold medals in Hong Kong College of Physicians and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He has been awarded “Teacher of the Year” by Medical Faculty of CUHK for 4 consecutive years since 2006. In 2008, he was honored The Vice Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award of CUHK in recognition of his outstanding teaching performance.
