Prof. Chak Sing LAU (Hong
Kong)
Professor Lau is Professor of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology
of the Department of Medicine and Research Centre for Infection
and Immunology of the LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University
of Hong Kong. He is heavily involved in the promotion of rheumatology
as a subspecialty in the Asia Pacific. He served as Secretary
General and President of APLAR in 2002 – 2004 and 2006 – 2008
respectively. Currently, he is Immediate-Past President of
the Association and Editor in Chief of the International Journal
of Rheumatic Diseases, the Association’s official journal.
His primary research interest is in systemic lupus erythematosus
and related autoimmune diseases.
